MGM National Harbor to Remain Smokefree
MGM Resorts recently withdrew its request for a special exception to Maryland’s smokefree workplace law. They had attempted to add a smoking area at MGM National Harbor the biggest hospitality jobsite in Maryland. This would have exposed the venue’s 3,000 workers and millions of visitors to secondhand smoke undermining years of smokefree protections in the state.
ANR and ANR Foundation took action to ensure that smokefree protections did not slip away for Maryland’s residents and workers.
